Terminator 5: a reboot with a new subtitle

I remember the days when I was just a kid and a friend of mine shared a story about a robot that came from the future in order to save a boy. Of course, he was sharing the story seen in Terminator 2, one of the most beloved movies in cinematographic history. But every since that release, every sequel seemed to be off course, with weaker plots and poor actor performances. Arnold Schwarzenegger was only present in T1, T2 and T3. Terminator 4 featured an unconvincing CGI character that looked like the former Mr. Olympia.

The reboot
If you learn one thing about Hollywood, it’s that if a movie makes money, you need to create a sequel, a prequel or a reboot for it. Since Terminator has a strong fan base, making a new movie was inevitable. Terminator 5 is set to be released in 2015 and although I was not able to find too much information on its IMDB page, there was plenty on wikia.com. The movie is directed by Alan Taylor and stars Arnold Schwarzenegger. You got that right, Arnold is back! According to rumors, it marks the beginning of a new trilogy that will reboot the timeline without erasing what has already been done. It will be accompanied by a TV series that follows the same plot but from another perspective.

The subtitle
You can’t have a Terminator movie without a proper subtitle. Starting with the Terminator 2, each installment of the saga has its own subtitle (Judgment Day, Rise of the machines, Salvation) and the fifth episode will make no exception. According to ProductionWeekly.com, the subtitle for the new Terminator 5 is Genesis. This shows that the plot of the movie plans to reset the counters to zero. I’m eager to see Arnold back on the franchise. I hope he will be in good shape when filming this, since he will be 68 in 2015.
