After a revenue-beat-down in 2012 the guys at HTC have put their resources and focus in the smartphone that is meant to bring HTC under the spotlight once more and give Apple and Samsung a run for their money: the HTC M7.
While HTC lovers seem more dedicated and truthful to their brand they don’t seem to be argumentative and loud enough to enter the constantly present war between iPhone and Samsung. HTC M7 might prove to be the boost that will turn the iGalaxy duet into a threesome. There’s no doubt that HTC is a strong presence on the mobile market but has yet proved worthy for the battle at the top for the 1st place.
HTC keeps things pretty mysterious about the new model and we still don’t have an official teaser picture or a serious “accidental” leak, but we already know that M7 will be packed with a 1.7 GHz quad-core processor and a 4.7” Full-HD display (even you iPhone users still have some wet dreams about OneX’s display).
The real ballsy decision taken by HTC is the launching of the HTC M7 at the Mobile World Congress 2013 in Barcelona between 25th and 28th February. It seems a very appropriate time as it is right in between the launching of iPhone5&Galaxy S3 and iPhone5S(6)&Galaxy S4, but will it prove to be a winning move? Will launching a top-edge product in a still market draw all the attention? We’ll just have to wait and see.
